MMC/CaseFileXpress,
L.P. (July 2005)
Doug Mitchell founder and General Manager of MMC Group, LP
and Tammy Carter, founder and CEO of CaseFileXpress,
L.P. (CFX) are proud to announce that their companies
have merged under a new partnership, MMC/CaseFileXpress, L.P.
Tammy will serve as the General Manager of the new entity.
MMC/CFX, LP will continue to operate from the original CFX
offices in Austin, Texas.
In 1999, the State of Texas 76th Legislature mandated that
an "electronic government framework" be created
to leverage state and local government investment in new Internet
technology. TexasOnLine (TOL) is the direct result of legislation
that was passed to determine the optimal solution for eGovernment
in Texas. CaseFileXpress, L.P. was the first TOL approved
service provider for eFiling court documents from the Texas
legal community to Texas Courts. All the filer needs is a
computer, an Internet connection, and an approved Electronic
Filing Service Provider or EFSP - like CaseFileXpress, L.P.
CaseFileXpress, L.P. is a leader in the industry for E-Filing
legal case documents, setting the standards for customer service,
document tracking, E-Filing document security, ease of use
and training. CFX's approach to E-Filing is unique; they have
chosen to not install E-Filing applications in the individual
law firms but rather to use the internet to make the application
available to you, anywhere, anytime. Today, near 5000 customers
of CaseFileXpress, L.P. in Texas and Washington DC are saving
time and money utilizing eFiling technology to deliver legal
documents to the courts.
MMC Group L.P. began in 1989 when Mr. Mitchell, a former partner
of an international accounting and consulting firm, founded
C.D. Mitchell & Company (CDM). In 1992, CDM teamed with
Mir·Fox & Rodriquez, P.C., the largest Hispanic
owned CPA firm in Texas, and Coopers & Lybrand LP, one
of the big 8 public accounting firms to establish a qualified
MWOB partnership, Mir, Mitchell, Coopers (MMC). In 2000, a
new separate company, MMC Group LP, was formed as the first
employee owned and operated HUB company in Texas. The core
strengths of the company are in Outsourcing, Consulting, and
Staffing. The firm has grown into an organization consisting
of over 400 employees working with commercial and governmental
clients nationwide. Today, MMC Group, LP has become one of
